Yin yoga sometimes feels like the hardest battle as you are encouraged to be still. Sometimes it's the stillness that's the challenge as your body just wants to fidget and move as it's used to. Sometimes it's our minds that are the challenge, as in the stillness we become aware of our thoughts (and some of the crap that often circulates). In this practice we learn to be able to sit in discomfort with ease. Sounds contradictory, yes. With practice transforms your ability to be in the inevitable suffering that appears in life, yes.
Other times Yin yoga can feel like you're not really doing anything as the body comes into positions of rebound or rest.
It's interesting to observe how you feel about resting?
Is it a completely foreign experience? Is it something that must be deserved? Is it even necessary? I would say it is essential! So would your nervous system and organs!
They are just two things that will love you for doing this course.
