In the best sense ever - they'll take you for a walk. And this week their guest is John O'Connor - an acknowledged guitar hero, come and check out why!
In addition - we have Mike "Dr Blue" McKeon providing us a restorative opening set! Double Whammy! Best do a double membership bar tab draw then eh!?
The Resident Doggos!
In the best sense ever - they'll take YOU for a walk! A blues guitar walk, a walking bass walk. With all the rhythm and no leash! (But no judgy if that's your choice!)
It’ll be a night of groove, Delta blues featuring Dave Murphy—"New Zealand’s bluesman" and that eclectic west coast kiwi style of Dougal Spier the big man with the big sound. On drums Roger Watkins and Elliot Fuimaono on bass.
Dave Murphy plays Finger Picking Blues in the style of Mississippi John Hurt, Robert Johnson and a whole host of other old blues guys. Dougal Speir, on the other hand, is more adept at ripping off lead riffs unheard of since the death of the likes of Roy Buchanan, Rory Gallagher or Jimi Hendrix! You can imagine what sort of combination they form together on stage.
So if you want to hear the greatest mix of country blues you can dance to, enjoy your listening time, and maybe even have a bit of a jive, let the Red Dog Saloon Band fill your needs!
