Using everyday materials create an A4 self-portrait with line drawing and acrylic painting including chosen motifs/symbols.
Student do not need any knowledge of drawing or painting nor specialist equipment. All material is supplied.
Learning outcomes:
- Learn about various mixed media methods.
- Learn about composition within portrait practice.
- Gain knowledge of line drawing & tracing from photocopied B & W/colour portrait.
- Gain knowledge of the methods used where photographs are utilised to create more realistic/accurate portrait renditions.
- Achieve a contemporary drawn & painted portrait.
