As an expectant or new parent you are embarking on a big adventure, and whilst this can be a magical time of your life, it can also be very difficult. Knowing how to look after your mental and physical health and meeting people on the same journey will help you thrive.
We invite you to join us for a free workshop at your local Plunket where you learn:
-what mental health is and how to look after it
-how to talk to someone if you are concerned about your or their mental health
-the signs and symptoms of mental stress and distress
-information about where to go for support
You don't need to bring or prepare anything to participate, just yourself. Suicide prevention will be discussed as part of this workshop.
Refreshments and nutritious nibbles will be provided, and most importantly, babies are welcome.
