We are stoked to share a new date for Ludus' release party - 18 June at Valhalla.
Strange Behaviour is excited to announce the release of Ludus' gorgeous debut album, Two of the Same. To celebrate we’re throwing a party, with faves Nice Girl, Current Bias and Lady Lazer Light joining the SB crew for our very first show at Valhalla.
Across nine dreamy compositions, Ludus aka Emma Bernard delivers a record which perfectly balances the electronic and natural world.
Written and recorded over the last couple of years using a variety of software, the Pōneke-made Deluge synthesiser and field recordings, Two of the Same features a strong connection between composition and live performance.
Emma’s an integral part of the Strange Behaviour family and a fantastic DJ, whose sets are crafted with the same meticulous level of detail you’ll find throughout Two of the Same.
NICE GIRL (Public Possession/Melbourne)
Melbourne-based Nice Girl is one of our favourite producers right now, with two brilliant EPs on hot Berlin record label Public Possession and a slot at the upcoming Beacon Festival. Ruby’s also a killer DJ, and we’re stoked to have her join us for her first appearance at a Strange Behaviour show.
CURRENT BIAS (Related Articles)
Whether creating open-eared club slammers or sketches of glacial beauty, Poneke-based queer sound designer, producer and DJ, Current Bias is one of the freshest voices in Aotearoa’s electronic music scene. After a stunning late-night set at one of our Laundry nights, we welcome Jack back to Strange Behaviour.
LADY LAZER LIGHT
Lady Lazer Light is a visual artist like no other. The incredibly talented Erica Sklenars creates both solo performative works and collaborative audio-visual installations while working with sound artists and musicians. Expect her to transform Valhalla into a barely recognisable and stunning environment that perfectly matches the music.
Two of the Same will be available for pre-order on limited edition cassette and digitally from Tuesday 23 February via our Bandcamp page.
