Publisher Kevin Chapman of Upstart Press will give an insight into the publishing process and answer any burning questions from the audience. Kevin has published books in a wide variety of genres and has a nose for a good story.
This is a unique opportunity to get practical advice and tips from an experienced publisher. It promises to be an interesting session for anyone looking to publish a book or anyone who is simply interested in the industry and how it works.

Kevin Chapman has worked in book publishing for over thirty years, in New Zealand, the UK, Canada, the US and Australia. He has worked in general trade publishing and book packaging, and prior to starting Upstart Press was Managing Director of Hachette NZ and Anne Geddes Publishing.

Kevin has been heavily involved in publishing industry activities for many years, including twice being a president of Publishers Association of NZ.

Before Kevin Chapman's workshop, the Queenstown Writers Festival will hold another workshop with Paul Cleave - Solving the Mystery of Crime Writing.
