Our current challenge is to create a healthier world for all species and future generations and there is a need to create and activate possible solutions.
This 2-hour workshop is for people who would like to restore some aspects of their inner and outer world and increase their ability to access their wisdom. It’s a light-hearted exploration of the importance of trees in our landscape and what we can learn from them as a metaphor.
Right-brain learning activities - including plant music, storytelling, guided imagery and mandala drawing - will be used so you can create some different insights and solutions for what you would like to change. There will be an opportunity to clarify for yourself some practical actions you would like to take after the workshop, just a few baby steps only, so that these will be achievable.
Just bring an open mind and be prepared to go on a creative journey to find some answers for yourself. It’s not about making art; it’s about having a go at creative problem-solving, being curious and seeing what happens. You may surprise yourself!
Please note this workshop doesn’t provide any therapeutic or medical interventions nor does it claim to offer treatment for mental health problems. It will not create a full response to our current environmental issues either. Instead it will be like gathering and planting seeds, inviting you to create gentle change.
Bring a cushion to sit on.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
- name three examples of tree metaphors used in historical times
- list three examples of the significance of trees in the web of life
- identify your personal connections with trees
- use one tree wisdom meditation
- apply some creative problem-solving skills
- create a simple, practical action plan for personal change
Note: Courses need a minimum number to go ahead so if we don't have enough enrolments a few days before the start date, we have to cancel. We'll let you know by email so please check yours regularly. If you need to cancel your registration, here are our terms and conditions: "What You Need to Know".
