Update: The NZTCA management committee is working on alternatives. Updates will be communicated to TCA members, and the public if applicable.
Welcome to the 2020 conference of the New Zealand Tree Crops Association: Celebrating Diverse People, Crops and Food - providing food security in a changing climate.
From our base at Danish House we will introduce you to our growers and properties, and the science and food business people of our city and region. We will showcase our less ordinary trees and fruits, putting as many as we can onto your plate to try.
We offer a great variety of topics around fruit and nut trees: presentations on predator insects, bananas and macadamias, and nutrient content, a food fermenting workshop, excursions to orchards and food forests in the area, and of course a great opportunity to meet diverse people who are passionate and knowledgable about tree crops.
It is only $50 annually per property to join NZTCA and gain access to our vast information around tree crops, collected over more than 45 years.
The conference is open to Tree Crops members; non-members need to purchase membership in addition. Registration ($270 for members) is required before 12 March 2020: join us / register on the conference website.
