The first rule of Wine Club is you don't miss Wine Club.
This month we're exploring the five senses of wine tasting!
You can’t feel wine with your fingers, but you can feel it in your mouth. Wine is first of all, a sensory and sensual pleasure, the expression of a culture, and often someone’s livelihood, capturing the essence of their time & place.
Taste is a personal freedom. We always champion ‘drink what you like.’ This wine club will give you tips on being your own wine critic and learning about how to taste wine with all your senses and then be able to (for my wine connoisseurs in the making) describe what you’re tasting! A deductive tasting doesn’t need to transpire in a lab-like setting with eye-stingingly bright lights while you peer into wines over a white table. It’s done at Wine Club at Fantail & Turtle relaxing on bar stools or couches with great friends and the #jgwinetribe vibe!
At our wine tastings at Fantail & Turtle we pour wines of integrity & authenticity, wines that speak of their terroir, we share stories about the wine-makers that cherish their vineyards and look after the environment. We pour wines for people who care, made by people who care. Sip on a journey through wine on the last Wednesday of every month. Each meeting brings 6 wines, cheese & good company. Hosted by long time wine lover Jemma Grobbelaar.
We stand firmly by our ethos - wine is only as good as the company you drink it with.
