A free photography workshop for youth (aged 8-22) with a focus on wellbeing. (Workshop is free but you must register because space is limited)
Do you know a creative young person? Would they enjoy a free photography/wellbeing workshop taught by a past winner of New Zealand’s Creative Photographer of the Year?
The Click Happy Crew is coming to a town near you. A mobile content creation studio that enables our youth.
All over the country the Click Happy Van is pulling up at schools and taking over libraries and halls. Mandi Lynn, the artist creator of the project, is workshopping students on-camera skills and getting them to look at life through the lens.
And here’s the genius bit about Mandi - she weaves in self-compassion, body positivity, creative resilience and emotional fluency teachings into her mahi - it’s ninja mentoring that connects. The students are learning media skills and gaining communication tools but it’s the brush-off gold that really fills their knowledge ketes - the satisfaction of connecting with others, the grit of pushing through barriers and the increased self-worth that comes from working in the environment Mandi creates. Several of the students will also be selected to receive scholarships for two terms of mentorship that results in learning documentary photography and working with a non-profit that they believe in.
Mandi is the flair and brains behind the project, she is an award-winning photographer, a licensed Be Body Positive facilitator and the activist heart behind the Mojolution - helping create self-compassion one bold step at a time. She doesn’t fit into one sentence or a nutshell - Mandi is a creative powerhouse.
The Click Happy Crew is growing as the van traverses the country - linking our youth together, adding the flavours of each community into the recipe and connecting humans.
It’s absolute magic and it’s coming your way.
Be a part of the Click Happy Crew.
