Women come to White Orchid Retreats to learn about the science behind sustainable weight loss.
Simple and small lifestyle changes can translate into a leaner and healthier you. Education on all aspects of wellness, particularly around weight management, is the key. With education comes awareness and it drives replacement of the self-destructive behaviour, that results in an unhealthy lifestyle, with better informed behaviour.
Support of other women, who are undertaking a similar journey, in a private and secluded environment, is seen as essential to breaking away from the old unhealthy lifestyle habits and changing to the new.
The fact that the environment is a retreat set in native bush, with luxury accommodation, delicious food, spa treatments on request, geothermal pools and super friendly staff, just makes the journey a little more comfortable. The location, just 20 minutes from Tauranga, has the benefit of the beautiful Bay of Plenty sunshine and warmth, as well as being handy to all of a city's conveniences.
Daily routine of mild exercise at 7am, after a good nights’ sleep, followed by a hearty breakfast are the start of most days. Most mornings will feature a workshop, on various aspects of health, to equip participants with the knowledge and tools to change their life. The afternoons are yours to enjoy how you like, you may opt for a beauty treatment or two, go for a bush walk, curl up with a book or soak in the geothermal pool. A lengthy time away for you at one of these retreats is a big investment, but it will change your life and those around you!

Leisure Days 1 & 3
Relax and enjoy the luxury accommodation and facilities. Introduction to Journaling and Gratitude Practice Presentation on the first day. Opt for a spa treatment, relax in the geothermal pool or read a book by the open fire. Choose to walk to nearby Kaiate Falls and enjoy the beautiful native bush and waterfall. Meet new friends or take time out in this stunning escape from the outside world. Attend the nightly cooking demo, eat delicious healthy food and retire to bed early for a good nights’ sleep.

Enjoy the company of our dietitian for a 2 hour educational presentation on diet, followed by a cooking class.
