The last run before Christmas. We have added another class on Tuesday lunchtime for those who want their week end and can find some free time during the week. The class is 2 hours. The class is on patternmaking and sewing combined. You can do sewing or pattern making or both.

I will supply the patterns on your measurements for the students who want to do sewing only. I will bring 3 sewing machines and you are welcome to bring your own.It is still advisable to start sewing after having been introduced to the garment construction taught in the pattern making section.

Pattern making is following the Lavigne method, taught in Europe and Paris. These two-hour workshops will cover the basics of pattern making. This class is for beginners and advanced: we will approach the basic styling of the garment.

I will supply a block on your measurements so the pattern you make will fit you. The classes are sequential but I will work with you individually at each session. For quick progress, regular attendance is always best.

When your pattern is finished we will make a toile (a calico sample of your pattern). You can make it at home or come to the sewing class to sew it. Sewing knowledge is not a prerequisite but would help you in drafting the pattern.

This class is ideal to introduce fashion students to the pattern making/sewing world or to anyone who wants to learn how to make clothes that fit. The class is on-going but has a limited number. You can organise your bookings around your availabilities. Pattern Making is a rare skill and it is not taught much. Get in touch with me if you are interested.

The prices on the list are for beginners, advanced level will have a 20 % discount. The beginners level contains 3 projects and is achieved in 5 to 8 sessions, depending on the level.
