The best ever not-yoga movement classes are a full body and mind experience. Called Awareness Through Movement, these classes are a great way to improve your mobility, coordination and overall sense of wellbeing. They also help to muscular discomfort in your neck, back, hips and shoulders.
If your favourite part of yoga classes is the lying down bit at the end or the delicious relaxed feeling when you finish, you'll love these classes. Each verbally guided movement lesson is especially designed for you to become more self-aware and how to find ease in yourself and your everyday activities (and they'll help improve your yoga practice if that's your thing).
You'll also love these classes if you're not keen on yoga or you find yoga too much for your body to handle. Each week we explore a different series of movement sequences and you work at your own level of comfort. You don't use tension or force to make changes, instead you pay close attention to the way you move. Plus there's lots of rests along the way.
By taking a class you can
- Increase flexibility and joint mobility
- Improve your ability to relax and release tension
- Reduce pain and discomfort
- Find better balance
- Enhance your self-awareness
- Find a more natural and easy posture
- Better understand your movement habits and where you might strain or overwork
The classes are a specialised small-group format and have a maximum of five students per class. It doesn't matter if you've never tried an Awareness Through Movement class before or you've been doing it for years. All body types and levels are welcome.
If you're ready to optimise your movement so you can be comfortable and pain-free, get in touch. Places are going fast, so please get in touch to book.
