Brockville Full Primary School was established in 1960 in conjunction with the development of the suburb of Brockville.
At present we have a roll of approximately 200 pupils and operate 10 classes. The low teacher-pupil ratios in the classroomsare made possible though our Board of Trustees having made this a priority, and employing more teachers than the Ministry of Education provide us. The lower ratio assists in providing better learning opportunities for our pupils.
Brockville Full Primary School aims to provide quality education and opportunities to all our pupils. As well as education undertaken within each class, pupils are provided with much EOTC (Education outside the Classroom) and many sporting and cultural opportunities. We have many visiting performers throughout each year, who share their skills with our pupils.
Being a full primary school means that we provide education from Year 1 through to Year 8. At the conclusion of Year 8 pupils are enrolled in secondary education.
We operate a bilingual class here at Brockville School. This is the only bilingual class south of Christchurch and provides parents/caregivers the opportunity to have their children taught in a Maori immersion class.
At Brockville Full Primary School we provide ourselves on providing quality education and learning opportunities to our pupils. We have a zero tolerance to bullying.
