Launched in 1996 over 300,000 children, young people and adults have participated in Seasons for Growth programs in Australia, New Zealand, Scotland, Ireland, England and Wales. Seasons for Growth is a 9 week education programme that aims to strengthen the social and emotional wellbeing of children and young people (aged 6-18) who have experienced a significant life change. Many factors can cause change: losing someone you love, parents/families separating, moving to a new place, impact of illness or family work-life changes. It is the impact of the change, not the event itself that Seasons for Growth focuses on. Seasons for Growth does not provide counselling or therapy but focuses on new ways to respond to loss/change. Sessions include craft, drama and story telling.
This Term 4 programme is for young people aged 11-12 years. Places are limited (no more than six participants per group) so please register your interest early. Contact the Coordinator (07) 857 0435 OR firstname.lastname@example.org.
