Join us at the Te Anau Marina for a lakeshore clean-up, both above and below the surface! On Tuesday the 7th of July we'll meet at the marina and walk the shore to collect any rubbish we find. While we're at it, certified divers will clean-up what lies beneath the surface. Fiordland College students will be on site with an underwater rover they built last year to provide the opportunity for those not diving to see beneath the surface too.
Come along to learn about the freshwater world that surrounds our town, the impact of rubbish on the freshwater environment and pests found in Lake Te Anau and the work that is done to reduce their effects.
Timing: 10 AM - 3 PM with a lunch BBQ in the middle
Weather postponement date: 14th July
This event is part of our Fiordland events programme.
