Radha Krishna Hamilton Temple is currently the only established “Hindu” Vedic Temple (Mandir) in the Waikato region of New Zealand. It provides a place of worship, spiritual gathering and a place for traditional Vedic and community ceremonies/functions for the Hamilton/Waikato Indian community in particular and the wider Waikato community in general who may be interested in these traditional Indian/Vedic activities.
Radha Krishna Hamilton is an independent registered charitable organisation and is currently managed by trustees from the Hamilton Indian Community. Establishment of the complex was borne from the teachings and works of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder-acarya of the Hare Krishna Movement. The daily worship and Temple activities are largely based on the principles of Brahma-Madhava-Gaudiya Vaishnava Sampradaya (lineage) as enunciated by Srila Prabhupada.
Everyone is welcome to the Temple to have darsan of our beautiful Deities, attend programmes and learn the intricacies of a life of loving devotional service and to do some seva (service) for the pleasure of Their Lordships. Please come to chant and be happy!
