We’re proud to be relaunching this regular night at it’s new home Neck of the Woods where we’ll kick things off with a classic local lineup of Tech Support DJs and Producers:
Starting all the way back at the mighty Fu Bar on Queen Street in 2006, Tech Support firmly cemented its place in Auckland’s nightlife as the place to get down to the darker side of drum and bass with its sick lineups and slick artwork.
These nights have always been about having good times with a great crew to tight mixing of heavy dnb with that funk in the bassline which is sure to get you moving.
Previous Tech Support guests include; The Upbeats, Bulletproof, Teknik, Cern, Bugsy, B-Line, Charlie B, Pakage, Shift and many more over the years.
Whether you’ve been to Tech Support before and want to relive the glory days, or it’s new to you and want to secure your place in Auckland’s nightlife’s future history. Make sure you put this in your calendar and grab a ticket early as it’s bound to pack out!
We’ve also dug up some of the original promo mixes from the archives by Bugsy, Cern & Charlie B which we will be publishing on the @techsupport_nz mixcloud leading up to the gig. So keep an eye out, enjoy the mixes and then come party with us!
Teknik attended his first drum and bass event in 1999, and from there it only took two years for his debut independent releases to emerge.
These early releases paved the way for collaborations with fellow Kiwi producers The Upbeats, Bulletproof, Cern, Dose, Menace and Trei and a string of international releases on a diverse array of esteemed labels including Renegade Hardware, Project 51, Commercial Suicide and Soul:R amongst many others.
Equipped with two decades of experience, a knack for clever combos and crates full of funk and unreleased exclusives, Teknik's DJ sets are guaranteed to make you move.
Pakage has been a part of Auckland’s DNB scene since 2004, opening for many internationals including Mindscape, Lynx & Kemo, Optiv & BTK as well as locals Concord Dawn, The Upbeats & State of Mind. They hosted a drum and bass radio show on UPFM for over 5 years, promoted dozens of gigs at Fu, Coherent and Rising Sun, and helped run the first installment of drumandbass.co.nz.
Skelta is one of the mainstays of the Auckland DNB scene, DJing at hundreds of gigs over the years and supporting countless international acts. Skelta is known for his tight mixing and depth of selections that will push your boundaries and keep you moving.
Dreadnought is a local producer and DJ who has been rolling out DNB and Dubstep tunes for over eight years now. His latest album “Radiation” is hitting the shelves in 2021 so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for that one.
