“Love Letters” by A.J. Gurney, which tells the story of the romantic attachment between two Americans, Andrew and Melissa, from their childhood school days and for the next fifty years of their lives.
The story is told through the letters and postcards that they exchanged throughout that period. Both were born into wealth and position. Andrew is from a close family that live the American dream. Melissa, on the other hand, is from a somewhat dysfunctional family. Their bond with each other, however, remains strong and they ultimately become involved in a brief affair together. But it was all too late. Andrew’s last letter eloquently expresses how much they meant to each other. Though physically apart, they were spiritually as close as only true lovers can be.
Over the season this will be performed by several "couples" which will provide a different experience each night. Danny Clenott, Yvonne Way, Lilla Csorgo, Jim Palmer and Barbara Barr are the cast.
