Assembly of Matariki is an interactive projection that celebrates the Aotearoa/Pacific New Year and the significance of the celestial events of Matariki and Puanga within tikanga Māori. By their movements, visitors will be able to push and swirl clouds to reveal and shroud the stars of Matariki. The work appears as a part of July's CHCH IS LIT series of lighting installations.

Assembly of Matariki was created by Abstract Interactive, and is proudly supported by Christchurch City Council, Development Christchurch Limited, Creative New Zealand and Spectrum Lighting and Sound.
