What makes a good host? Turns out, it's really bloody simple.
In this in-depth six week course, you'll master the essential skills to keep any event ticking over smoothly. We'll cover warm-ups, hecklers, mic tips, introductions, how to hold attention through the boring bits and how to use the power of suggestion like a boss. If you're serious about challenging yourself to one day host at a pro level, this course is a must.
Each week you'll be on your feet, performing for your classmates and work-shopping a new trick - whether it be sneakily soliciting a cheer, or seamless stalling. By the end of this six weeks, students will have the crowd in the palm of their hands at our MC showcase on Sunday February 16th at Fringe Bar.
This course will be particularly useful for cabaret MCs but will also be invaluable for comedy and corporate hosts, and just about any public speaker.
