Home Kitchen

Welcome to Home Kitchen, an eatery showcasing food and culture from Hamilton's diverse former refugee community.

Come and see our chefs in action as they take you on a culinary journey through the Middle East.

What to expect - In this two hour class our Chefs will guide you on how to cook a specially chosen recipe. You'll learn about the food, culture and experience what makes Home Kitchen unique. Dishes will originate from either Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan or Burma, depending on the Chef.

Chefs may be supported by an interpreter to help with instructions and answer any questions.

Expect an authentic and homegrown experience.

Cooking will be completed in groups of 6, come with your friends or make new ones on the day!

Cooking will be followed by sharing of food in the Wintec Rotokauri Restaurant.

Please note this is a non-alcoholic event.
