The Okere Falls Beerfest is back again for October 2019!
We're kicking off the festivities on Wednesday with a beer tasting by Garage Project from Wellington. Thursday is Local's Night - a classic Okere Falls Beerfest evening with Schwein (Pork Roast) and old favourites Craig & Jamie from The Fisher Kings on the stage. Friday and Saturday are ticketed events filled with fantastic bands, including our favourite high-energy, horn-blowing Guggemusik!
Friday night line-up is going to be a blast from 5pm sharp with two bands down from Auckland – New to our stage and here to kick-off with dynamic jazz beats and rock sounds we have The RVMES. Headlining and back by popular demand is Whitechapel Jak, an awesome group bringing irresistibly danceable vibes and all the covers you didn’t know you needed.
Saturday line-up starts at 2pm with DJ Nero (of Trinity Roots) sharing some summer grooves. Mighty Mighty will be warming up the afternoon, giving us funky original tunes with Raglan soul, leading into an evening of groovy acoustic & blues jams by Nimbus. Headlining the night are Knights of the Dub Table who will keep the party going with electro-dub baselines and high-energy reggae vibes as we keep the beer flowing and enjoy intermissions from the fantastic Guggemusik.
Schweinshaxe Pork Roast Dinner Tickets are available Thursday-Saturday; however we have limited numbers so please purchase your ticket in advance to avoid disappointment.
A range of German Bretzels, Griller Burgers, Bratwurst Sausages and more will also be available for purchase on the night. Our fantastic collection of wines, ciders, NZ beers on tap, our new low and non-alcoholic beverages, and crowd-favourite German beers will also be on hand.
Departing and returning to 1241 Fenton Street. Each bus ticket is a return trip, leaving town at the time listed and allowing you to jump on any of the returning buses, which will be running between 8pm-10pm. We advise being there at least 10 minutes prior to the bus departure time.
Come and join us for an amazing week of German Festivities. Ziggy, Ziggy, Ziggy! Oi, Oi, Oi.
Please note: Beerfest is not a BYO event and is a festival-style atmosphere in which to enjoy great food, exceptional beverages, and fantastic music. Only happy people please, or you will be asked to leave nicely.
