The primary aim of the Onewhero Early Childhood Centre is to provide quality early childhood education and care for children two years and older, in which the needs of each child shall be the first and major consideration.
Parents and whānau/hapū are paramount in the decision making concerning their children, and all early childhood care and education will enhance the development of the child, and support the family/whānau by having an open door policy.
Our centre facilitates the development of self-esteem, confidence, independence, creativity and enjoyment in learning for all children in a stimulating environment. As such, the curriculum will recognise the varied individual learning characteristics and interests of each child.
The Supervisor and staff support parents/whānau by being available to discuss any issues and refer parents to appropriate support agencies when needed.
The centre is an exciting place for children to develop life long learning skills.
All different cultures are celebrated and the programme will reflect the dual heritage of the partners of the Treaty of Waitangi.
