Lynmore Primary School is a large school situated on Te Ngae Road in Rotorua, New Zealand, 4km from the centre of Rotorua. We have a school roll of approx. 600-650 children aged 5 to 11 years. The school has a proud history of academic, sporting and cultural excellence and is a popular and sought after school in the area.
Lynmore school is set in attractive and spacious grounds which includes an adjoining property, under the responsibility of Lynmore School known as Waitawa Bush. Work has been done to ensure the area is developed into an outdoor environmental area with walking paths, stream, tree plantings and observation areas to provide a natural playground and an excellent teaching alternative environment.
The school utiises outdoor astrograss, a large gymnasium, heated covered swimming pool, school hall, library and rooms for enrichment teaching including reading recovery, teaching English as a Second Language and gifted and talented extension classes in the senior school.
A new multi purpose space called our Cultural Centre has recently been built to support our music programme and allowing for specialist teaching in the arts, dance, drama and cultural activities. This area is also used by the school choir and orchestra.
