Designed by world-renowned Art Deco architect, Louis Hay, the King George Hall has been an important part of the Bay View community since 1911.
The unique venue has two areas for hire - the main hall and the supper room/kitchen.
The main hall has a maximum capacity of 200 people, while for dining it comfortably seats up to 150 people. It has become a popular place to hold 21sts, weddings, reunions and the like. In fact, custodian, Stuart Robertson, says the hall is generally available for any kind of party within reason as well as theatre productions and craft fairs/expos. A special licence must be obtained to have alcohol on the premises, whether for sale, supply or consumption. This includes weddings and BYOs.
The hall consists of modern toilet facilities, wheelchair access, a stage, piano, two dressing rooms with toilets, under stage storage for tables and chairs, a supper room and kitchen.
