The Belfast Rugby Football Club has a long and proud history of involvement in both our community and our national game at all levels-junior & senior club level, provincial and All Black.
We have a club room's facility situated on Sheldon Park (only 12 kms from the Square) that is the envy of most clubs in the Canterbury region. Our clubrooms boasts a gymnasium and weight room, two bars, a restaurant and large entertainment area which are is available to hire for a wide variety of functions.
Although rugby is the foundation of the club we also run a very successful Touch module throughout the summer with children's, men's, women's and mixed teams participating. We also have a close association with both the Belfast Netball and Bowling clubs.
The Belfast Rugby Football Club has a passionate and fully committed management team whose main focus is the welfare of its players and supporters. This team is made up of our club manager John Powell, Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Our board is made up of very experienced businessmen who have ensured our club has a very sound financial position to the point where we fully own our club room's facility and are debt free. Our Executive committee is made up of mainly past and present players and is headed by our club president Dave Pilkington.
The clubrooms and Sheldon Park are in constant use for Rugby activities and other activities such as Touch, Rotary, Social Clubs, Seminars, Weddings and of course activities in our gym and weight rooms.
