The Backyard is dedicated to using only the best of local produce and meats as opposed to importing goods so as to reduce our carbon footprint as well as supporting local business. Our chef Anton Scott is also dedicated to protecting our environment by recycling and using locally produced organic and free range goods. Anton also strives to make all of our meals and their ingredients by hand, from the bread, bases and sauces, everything is made on site the traditional way. This in turn helps aid our goal to keep New Zealand green by the reduction of energy used in the processing and transportation of foods as a result make for much tastier Backyard meals.
