New Zealand's favourite operatic-pop trio Sol3 Mio are hitting the spotlight once again, bringing their latest and much-awaited 'Back To Basics' tour this fall! Featuring a brand new repertoire of songs, the band will be playing a series of intimate North Island shows in Tauranga, Hawkes Bay, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Whanganui, Auckland, Kerikeri and Whangarei this month. The trio will then resume their massive tour this May and June, bringing exciting performances to South Island venues in Blenheim, Christchurch, Oamaru, Dunedin and Invercargill.
In this tour, Sol3 Mio will take a step back from their recent outdoor shows to reconnect with smaller audiences at concert halls and theatres. They will be sharing stories and music from their experiences across the globe over the past 12 months.
"We've missed being able to see everyone's faces and communicate directly with our audiences during performances… so we're looking forward to doing that in these shows, as well as meeting everyone for meet and greets and signings after the shows." - Sol3 Mio
Whilst tenor brothers Pene and Amitai Pati, and Moses Mackay have been focusing on their solo opera and pop careers for the past year, their Christmas album 'A Very M3rry Christmas' still hit #2 in the New Zealand Album charts, after hitting #1 on release a year earlier. With three straight no. 1 albums, a slew of Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards, and record-breaking tours, Sol3 Mio are a musical force to be reckoned with.
With Sol3 Mio's powerful and phenomenal operatic voices, 'Back To Basics' tour is surely one not to be missed!
