St Mary’s is the Anglican Church for Central Hawke’s Bay very vibrant service town of Waipukurau. We're situated one block south of Waipukurau's east-west mainstreet of Ruataniwha.
St Mary’s worshipped from 1877 in a smaller kauri church house. Our present house of red-mortar brick, completed and consecrated in 1930, since the 1980s has been finished with elegant Beverley Shore-Bennett stained glass windows.
St Mary's holds herself with a quiet but profound serenity similar to Mary the Mother of Our Lord herself.
