I incorporate Ayurvedic practices into my daily life for health and balance.
About the class:
If you are new to the yoga then this is the class for you. If you are coming back to yoga after a break and need to step in again from the start, this is also the class I recommend. It may also suit those who need a slightly gentler approach.
(I have an alternative class for more advanced practitioners but spaces are limited so please contact me to check for availability)
In the class, we explore the tools of yoga including, Asana (movement), Pranayama (the breath), sound (in the form of chant) ending with a relaxation/guided meditation.
The aim of the practice is to allow more comfort within the body enabling a more focused and conscious mind state. This encourages a place of stability and clarity from which to make our choices in life.
In practicing Viniyoga your capabilities as an individual are respected and catered for by each student being given tools with which to judge and adapt the practice accordingly.
If you are a local then your first class with me is free for you to get an idea of what it is this tradition of yoga is offering and then decide whether to commit to the term.
If you have missed the beginning of the term, that's not a problem I can adjust the price accordingly.
For more details and to book a place please contact me.
Please note I am embarking on my yoga therapist training in January and am also taking some time out with my whānau.
If I don't respond immediately I will do so by the last week in January, thanks for you patience with this.
