Classical music at its finest.

With an impressive international career spanning over 30 years, Austrian flautist Michael Martin Kofler is coming to New Zealand for the first time to present a special solo recital at the Concert Chamber.

Michael will perform an impressive programme of flute and piano works, from classical giants Mozart and Schubert to the brilliant Carmen Fantaisie by Francois Borne. Proudly presented by Chiron Group New Zealand.

Michael Kofler has performed concertos, recitals and chamber music with renowned ensembles across the globe, including the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Vienna and Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Philharmonic and Symphony Orchestras of Munich, Prague, Moscow, Tokyo, Tel Aviv and Warsaw, among many others.

He has worked with renowned conductors as a soloist including Sir Neville Marriner, Frans Brüggen and Lorin Maazel, and his chamber music partners have included Paul Badura-Skoda, Stephan Kiefer, Martin Spangenberg, Benjamin Schmid, Clemens and Veronika Hagen as well as the Mandelring Quartet and the Mozart Quartett Salzburg.

Michael is currently a professor at the prestigious Mozarteum Salzburg in Vienna – a post he has held since 1989 and is highly in demand as a pedagogue and competition jury.
