Capital Fibre Fest - for all things wool, yarn & fibre related. Come and see some sheep, buy your raw fibre, dyed fibre, wool, yarns, needles, project bags, buttons and all sorts of goodies for crafty people.
This event is hosted by Upper Hutt Spinners and Weavers and supported by Upper Hutt City Council
Capital Fibre Fest is organised by volunteer members of the Upper Hutt Spinners and Weavers group and is held within our local community and for the benefit of all wool and yarn-based crafters of any ethnicity. You do not have to be a member of Creative Fibre to attend.
There is plenty of free parking and it is close to train, bus and local shops and cafes. While some traders do have Eftpos it is a good idea to bring cash. A koha kitchen is available for a cup of tea or coffee, bring your reusable keep cups to reduce waste. There is also Dough cafe and bakery on-site for barista coffee and meals.
There is plenty of seating so bring your current project and be prepared to make lots of new friends and learn new skills.
