Creative Mercury Bay presents our seventh episode of:

"Bubble Bites" - A Series of Short Performance By Artists From the Coromandel

In this weeks episode we feature the below artists:

Scott Burst - Metal/Rock Guitarist
Scott Burst has been an active performer/recording artist since school, and was a member of several different bands while residing in Auckland. He moved to Whitianga seven years ago and has been playing bass in death metal band Studded Codpiece, and a metal covers band.
In the past 2 years, he’s been writing originals with a talented drummer from Coromandel Town, Cameron Mcquoid and they started a recording project called The Flangers. They started recording their first couple of tracks at a studio in Auckland before lockdown.
Since then Scott has been having fun jamming online and from those jam sessions, the online band Lockdown Broject was born. They have released their first two songs on YouTube and a third song will be released very soon. Also, stay tuned for The Flangers debut release in a couple of months.
Scott will be performing original instrumental pieces entitled, Mammoth, Loopdown and Freedom on the Otherside.

Shannon Nicolson - Thespian/Poet
Shannon has been involved with Offbeat Theatre Company at Monkey House Theatre since Kindly Leave the Stage, in which she had a part during 2018 while she was pregnant (she played the pregnant stagehand/prompt). She has also been dabbling in poetry for a few years, and this is her first recorded performance. Four boys keep her busy at home and writing is one of her creative outlets.
She will be performing original poems titled NOTES! NOTES! NOTES!, A Man Called Ron, Inside and A Poem For My Boys.

Anita Prime - R&B/Pop Singer/Songwriter
Anita Prime is an R&B/Pop singer and songwriter originally from Palmerston North. At the 2011 LAMA Los Angeles Music Awards she won the Best Music Video Category for the video supporting her first international single La La La after being nominated for both this, and in the Best International Artists categories. In September 2011, Anita Prime’s third single Complicated achieved the #3 position as Breakout Artist on the US Billboard Charts in the Hot Dance/Club Play category and remained on the chart for 11 weeks solid.
Anita is from a musical family fluent in the piano, trumpet and ukulele. She began singing at a very early age, began learning the piano at the age of five and went on to learn the flute, guitar and drums. Receiving her certification from the prestigious Trinity School of London, Anita began performing live at 13 as part of a band Three ‘n One, and has gone on to work the New Zealand circuit and to perform as a featured artist in many community and charity events.
Anita’s career headed toward the international stage in 2010 when she met Grammy Award nominated record producer Ron Thaler at a conference. Thaler says of Anita’s talent: "...Anita Prime finds herself right in the middle of it. One of New Zealand’s most celebrated recent exports alongside Kimbra and Lorde. A voice on par with any of the greats and a commanding stage presence that takes no prisoners…”

Anita will be performing original songs composed by herself and Ron Thaler called No Place Like Home and Serenade.
