The early months and first year post-birth are a special time for Mum and Baby to begin their journey of life together.
This is an ideal class for the post-natal period and allows you to bring your baby along, do some yoga for yourself and your baby and learn to relax together. It will help you to reconnect with your strength, bring energy and help to alleviate fatigue. It will tone and bring flexibility to the muscles stressed during childbirth.
It is also about creating a yoga 'sangha' or community in which you are able to connect with others, this is a gentle and supportive environment where everyone is welcome. If you are looking for an exercise class this is not for you, it is a holistic approach to supporting both mum and baby.
You will be guided and supported in the class by Rachel Chapman, a mother to two beautiful girls, who has been teaching this approach to mums and babies yoga for over 10 years initially training in London and then doing a subsequent course in the Art of Health as well as a raft of parenting courses to support her own needs as a parent. Rachel has also worked for the Brainwave Trust who provide support to parents in the Early Years.
