Functions band Moxy is looking forward to playing ballroom and Latin dances from 7.30pm on Saturday 20 July at the Hokowhitu Bowling Club, Albert Street, Palmerston North. Dancers can enjoy tangos, foxtrots, waltzes, rock’n roll, jive, quick-step, cha-cha, samba, and rumba, all to live music.
The theme of the night is 1920s, so dress up in your favourite 20’s costumes – bring out those sequins and feather boas and have a blast to Moxy’s music.
Moxy plays songs from the 1950’s to the present day, and as well as playing at private and corporate functions in the region, has developed a repertoire of songs for ballroom dancing. The band plays regularly for dancers at Café Royale in Square Edge, and is pleased to be invited to play at the Hokowhitu Bowling Club, with its excellent dance floor.
Moxy enjoys playing a wide range of styles from many artists including Santana, Camila Cabello, Elton John, Michael Buble, Sara Bareilles, and Van Morrison. The line-up includes both male and female vocals, sax/flute, keyboard, percussion and bass/guitar.
Function organisers love that Moxy can have their guests dancing while others can still talk comfortably. The bar will be open, so come and enjoy a -great night out! Book with Steve at Steve@benthorseshoe.co.nz or phone 027-368-2367.
