Want to be part of the world's fastest growing all female sport? Pirate City Rollers, New Zealand's first roller derby league, is having its first open days for 2013.
Come along and get to meet some of our skaters in a friendly and relaxed environment. We will show you some of the basics of skating, take you through some fun drills, explain to you what its like skating for PCR and why roller derby is such an amazing sport. No skating experience necessary!
Our two open days will be:
Sunday 3rd February from 4-7pm;
Thursday 7th February from 8:30-10:30pm - This will be the day in which you can sign up for our freshmeat course. The course is 13 weeks long and costs $80.
Both open days will be at Papatoetoe skating rink.
$10 per day, plus skate hire if you don't own skates. We will provide helmets, knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards.
