Join our live studio audience as Zeb Wulff records Liszt’s towering B minor Sonata in the celebrated Nelson School of Music Auditorium, this Thursday 9th July at 1pm.

Zeb Wulff is a local Nelson performer and composer. He studied at Massey Conservatorium under Richard Mapp and Emma Sayers.

Liszt’s towering B minor Sonata has almost attracted as much attention for its mystery as it has for its beauty. For over 100 years scholars have suggested hidden meanings, from a retelling of the Faust Legend to a secret autobiography. The pianist Clara Schumann once commented that it was merely “blind noise”, while Alfred Brendel called it “Powerful and intelligent”
