Japanese Summer Festival “ Natsu Matsuri” in Queenstown!
The japanese community in Queenstown share their culture with you in a summer festival celebration.
At the event stalls, there are Japanese foods, sake tasting, kids games, lollie roulette, face painting, home bakes, tea ceremony, Japanese calligraphy, and Kimono wearing experience.
On the stage, live music, Katate and Kendo martial arts demonstration by Queenstown Karate Club and Invercargill Kendo Club. To make the event more special, we have amazing Taiko drum performance by O-Taiko from Dunedin.
And don’t forget our famous raffle prizes and silent auction!
Event admission is free, however, this is also fundraising event of Japanese Family Society of Queenstown, gold coin donation entry at the door would be appreciated. All the money will be raised go towards to the organization. And most of the stalls only take cash, please make sure to bring coins for children to enjoy the fun game site!
