The Clevedon Art Trail Annual Open Studio Weekend Event returns for its fourth year on Auckland’s Anniversary Weekend 25-27th January 2020.

An exciting programme is planned with demonstrations, exhibitions and a variety of free interactive workshops and activities involving many artists.

New to the trail this year and not to be missed is Riverhaven Artland. A stunning 40 acre sculpture park with site specific sculptures by NZ Artists. Within the grounds Wild Things Free Creative Workshop with Elle Anderson & Jane Berney – playing with words and images.

Next door, Katie Blundell Artist opens her exhibition titled ‘Without a Shadow of a Doubt’ and offers a free interactive ‘Slot Sculpture’ station to try your hand at. Art Industry features 27 established & emerging Artist's and you can collaborate with James Wright Sculptor to make a large scale artwork using recycled materials.

Helen Dorresteyn’s glasshouse studio and garden displays ceramic sculptural works by invited artists ‘The Mud Slingers’.

Matthew Vallings will turn bowls through the viewing window at Woodzone.
The Forgotten Arts stables venue has Maureen Conquer demonstrating foraged basket weaving, invited Master craftsman chair maker Richard Hare, Gracie Matthews with her vintage hand crank sewing machines to celebrate your favourite clothing by turning them into Wearable Art and photographer Clinton Schubert will hold modelled natural light portrait photography workshops using reflectors.

While in Clevedon enjoying the self-drive Art Trail take in some of Clevedon’s well known food experiences. Why not think about making a weekend of it and stay in the area!

The famous Clevedon Farmer’s Market is open Sunday 8.30am-1pm (create a print with artist Toni Mosley and her Pop-up Printmaking from 10am-12pm).
