New Zealand's very own The Clash tribute band, Wazzo Clash, have a rip-roaring run of concerts lined-up across the country this October and November. With shows set to land in Hamilton, Auckland, Golden Bay, Christchurch, Dunedin and Wellington, the group are geared up to play songs from The Clash's third studio album 'London Calling'—celebrating the 40th anniversary of its trailblazing release.
In 2002, members of foundational troupes like Head Like a Hole, Dead Vicious and Wazzo Ghoti have teamed up to form Aotearoa's elite tribute group, Wazzo Clash. They have taken their name from an earlier incarnation Wazzo Ghoti—an original alternative band who performed from 1986 to 1994. After securing their place in the punk-rock scene, Wazzo Clash have performed shows around New Zealand, earning a remarkable reputation for evoking the essence of The Clash with their authentic delivery onstage.
Don't dare miss Wazzo Clash's fist-pumping, riotous punk performances live this October and November!
