Like to be able to give massages to friends and family with a bit more knowledge and confidence? Join this introduction to the basics of massage, held over two sessions.
Enrol with a friend or family member (over 16, please) and work on each other or come on your own (personal safety assured) and learn a range of basic techniques. The course is held over two Saturday mornings so you can have time to practise between sessions. Please note that this is not a professional training. Men and women both welcome.
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
- Perform a range of basic massage strokes on the back, legs, arms, hands and feet
- Demonstrate protocols for modesty and safety
- Know when to refer to a professional
Bring two large (spa) towels and a smaller towel, some massage oil or wax and a comfortable pad to lie on (e.g. a foam camping mattress).
