Spend your Saturday learning the ancient Chinese art, science & medicine of Qi-cultivating; QiGong.
Qi is "energy" or "life-force" which fills the universe and your body.
Gong is the time/effort consciously used to master a skill.
From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, an individual is healthy when Qi is balanced and flows without obstruction. When Qi is obstructed or out of balance, disease or illness occurs. When there is no more Qi, death occurs.
Medical QiGong has been developed and refined over thousands of years and became one of the main branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine along with Acupuncture, TuiNa (Massage), Herbology & Dietetics.
QiGong is specifically designed to regulate, balance, harmonise and cultivate Qi.. resulting in a better state of health and wellbeing.
In this workshop we will begin with an age-old practice, a Chinese Tea Ceremony. Learn the theory and practice of QiGong foundations - which are translatable to just about anything we do in life.. before learning about Medical QiGong and how it can help diseases, ailments, pain and enhance life-quality.
QiGong is also used as a preventative measure as it has a wealth of benefits including relaxation and stress reduction, increasing circulation, assisting digestion, improving mental wellbeing.. and that is just the beginning!
