The Onekaka Music Festival is an all ages, multi genre local community music and arts festival. Doors open from 930am and the event runs till midnight.
The event is free entry for children under 12 and a koha is asked for teenages under 18. Early bird tickets will be on sale from December 14th. This is a limited capacity event, door sales will be dependant on the number of online ticket’s remaining.
The music comprises local solo acts, bands and djs. Beginning with world and folk music, the schedule moves into rock, reggae and rap. Djs will begin around sunset with midtempo bass, house, techno, prog trance and liquid dnb.
The Mussel Inn and The Roots Bar will be on hand to provide food and drinks and local vendors will complete the food and retail market
An arts trail is also on the cards and a call out for artists will be made during the lead. up to the event. Extra toilets will be provided on site and we are in the process of securing some local farm paddocks to provide parking should people wish to keep their vehicles off the road, during what will be a busy summers day.
