Multi disciplined fibre artist Anita Peters is offering to share her techniques of making baskets using a variety of natural and found materials located at Fairholme's Gallery unique outdoor garden studio in the beautiful Golden Bay.
The workshop commences with the fundamentals of basic basket construction before exploring the exciting challenges of incorporating ‘found and foraged' materials gathered from the homesteads woodland garden to create baskets of every shape and form. Cane and willow are available to make a traditional basket if preferred.
Some workshop dates are flexible, enquire about attending a tailored workshop that will coincide with your personal itinerary.
The location for this workshop is at the private historic homestead of Fairholme, set in an idyllic rural setting with unique wild gardens and surrounds. East Takaka is a one and a half hours scenic drive from Central Nelson.
