A huge success last year, we’re repeating this once-a-year opportunity to of a one-off paddle to raise funds for Matuku Link, the wetland conservation project in Bethells.
The navigable part of Waitākere River is accessible only from private land and only on this one day, access will be allowed. It's an unique way to experience the wetland and some of it's flora and fauna.
Small groups, so ticket availability is limited. Only $60 per person with all gear (kayaks, paddles, life vests etc) and training provided. Suggested minimum age is 12 years. Please indicate your preference for the start time of your two hour paddle: 9am, 11am, 1pm or 3pm and be there 30 minutes prior to your start time.
Supported by: Auckland Canoe and Kayak (kayaks and safety support crew); Bethell’s Beanz (coffee makers) and Babich wines, so bring some change for a warm or cold drink afterwards or before.
Contact us (see below) for questions and bookings. But be quick, last year it sold out within two weeks!
