Michael Houstoun’s last concerto appearance in Wellington after a decorated international career all Kiwis can be proud of promises a night of high emotion.

You can come and farewell our country’s greatest concert pianist.

Houstoun is playing Three Psalms by fellow Kiwi John Psathas, a work dedicated to Houstoun with references to Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev.

Tchaikovsky’s stunning Serenade for Strings and Rachmaninoff’s dramatic Symphonic Dances under the baton of music director Marc Taddei makes for a thrilling finale to the orchestra’s 2020 Season in this extraordinarily special offering, Houstoun’s Last Dance.
