Create your own whale’s tooth out of beef bone with our knowledgeable tutor, Maha Tomo. This tikanga-based contemporary workshop introduces various carving and design processes. Develop a new technical skillset using files, drills and polishing tools. Experiment with wet and dry sanding techniques to finish off your taonga. Participants will also learn traditional lashing and binding techniques used in Maori Object art. All material included.

In this workshop you will create your own beautiful piece of art embedded with paua shell that you can take home and treasure or give to a loved one as a special gift. All material included.
