Rain may have finally arrived and put out some of those devasting Aussie bushfires but the need for help for the human and animal victims has not gone away.
Papakura Theatre Company offers you a brilliant variety concert to entertain whilst raising much needed funds towards the relief efforts.
The event brings together a large number of performers, many of them local groups, with everyone volunteering their time and energy. Among those performing will be the Off Broadway Big Band, Papakura Pipe Band, Papakura Brass Band, magician Andre Vegas, singer Lisa Lorrell, @Queen_Street, a massed choir and the Auckland Wind Orchestra; plus the cast of PTC’s Dad’s Army will be reprising an excerpt from their successful production last year. And if at the end of the concert you would like to give a little more, there will be firefighters waiting with collection buckets as you leave the theatre.
If you are here booking online, you will find an opportunity to donate, should you so wish. All such donations will go directly to the Salvation Army Australia to aid with the relief they are offering to the firefighters and victims of these terrible fires.
All proceeds from ticket sales and donations at the concerts will be split 80/20 between the NSW Rural Fire Services and the Port McQuarrie Koala Hospital.
Papakura Theatre Company is grateful to Eventfinda for waiving booking fees for this event, meaning that 100% of your ticket price will go to the appeal (please note there is a small charge for credit card use).
Please join us for this very special concert. PTC organised a similar very successful event in 2011 to raise funds for the Red Cross Christchurch Earthquake Appeal, resulting in a donation of approximately $10,000. We would like to do it again, but this time to help our neighbours across the ditch!
