The Palmerston North Choral Society are celebrating their centenary by singing Handel's Messiah.
Our community group was founded in 1919 with the purpose of performing Handel's Messiah to the people of Palmerston North and the Manawatu. We are thrilled to be still going strong 100 years later. So this concert, where we bring this much-loved Christmas classic back to Palmy, is very special to us.
And it won't just be our 70 strong choir singing! We are delighted to be joined by the fabulous Manawatu Sinfonia and some amazing soloists, including the wonderful Ellen Barrett and John Beaglehole. We are led by the amazing Alison Stewart, who is well known for her contributions to music in the Manawatu, and a much loved music teacher at Huntley School in Marton.
We hope you can join us for a fabulous evening. The ticket price includes a special souvenir programme.
